Wild boar, wolves and sheep

I thought hard about what to write in this post, my first in almost two years. I wanted to say something a little more personal –  less about the farm and more about me. Maybe something about my kids, or my experiences as a British woman living and working in the French Alps.

But when I gathered a list of possible subjects, things that touch our everyday lives at the moment and things we talk about over dinner at night, this is what I came up with:

  • The wolf attacks on a flock on a nearby farm
  • The herd of wild boar camping out on our lands
  • The recent foray of our sheep onto a neighbour’s vegetable patch
  • How to sell lamb during a financial crisis

Of course, we also talk about our children, but it made me wonder if you can ever really separate life on a farm, from life itself.
