Glimpses of the farm

Have you got time for a quick tour? Walk up with me behind the farm and admire the view. In the foreground you can see the sheep barn and the hangar where the hay, straw and grain are stored.
This is the orchard. Want to pick a few apples? Not yet though, you’ll have to wait until late September when our Golden Delicous really do resemble their name. If you turn your eyes to the right, you can just make out the village.
Let me introduce you to the farmer. It’s early morning and he’s taking the sheep (Préalpes du Sud) to graze in pastures behind the farm.
Anyone for a ride on the combine harvester. Our daughter certainly didn’t refuse a trip round the field. Watch out for the dust!
How about a quiet stroll through our fields of oats (and poppies)?
If we walk far enough there’s a good chance that we’ll see the hay being baled. Be careful though, on steep slopes, the bales have a tendency to roll!
We just have time for one more introduction - Flossy, our Pyrenean Sheep dog. The farm wouldn’t be complete without her.

wow! What a wonderful view! How I wish can visit your place. It look so quiet and peaceful.
Breathtaking! Simply breathtaking.
I hadn’t gone through this yet..how blessed you are to live in such a beautiful place.
Your farm looks beautiful. The scarp behind the combine reminds me of the Ardeche. It’s a lot flatter generally over here in Lot et Garonne but just as beautiful in its own way.
I’ve just had a quick glimpse through the blog which is really good and will be back to explore it again.
You have a really nice blog going on here, beautiful photo’s!
